Save the Children is
mounting relief efforts in the wake of a violent
uprising against
embattled Libyan leader, Muammar Qaddafi.
Emergency relief teams have
arrived near the Libya-Egypt border.
Boys and girls can often get lost in the chaos
of political turmoil and
unrest. Separated from their families, children
may go hungry or get
hurt easily without parents to protect them. The
current crisis in
Libya is also ripe for child traffickers who
kidnap and exploit
children for the worst forms of forced labor.
This is an emerging crisis, but the needs are
basic - food, shelter and
health care. We will be partnering with the
humanitarian community on
these essentials. We will also be working to
reunite families and
providing support for children who have
witnessed dangerous situations. |

IBN THABIT
|
Ibn
Thabit has been
attacking Gaddafi with his music since 2008. He
has never been a member
of any organized political group; he is just an
ordinary Libyan
speaking the thoughts of many Libyan youth. Of
course he has had to
remain anonymous to protect himself and his
family in Libya, and
prefers not to give very many personal details. |

MALIK L
|
" A
seasoned street scholar and lifelong refugee in
opposition to the Gaddafi regime- Malik L has
been making music about freedom of the Libyan
people from the criminal Gaddafi regime since
the late nineties. Although he rarely releases
music to the public, his song "Salute Libya" was
posted on Youtube Feb. 5th before the revolution
and gained over 60,000 views bringing attention
to the plight of the imprisoned Libyans to the
western world, namely the United States of
America. Since his first visit to his country,
Libya, Malik L has worked on many charitable
fronts, and projects to help our new free
country. Now Malik L has released a CD album
titled "Malik L" introducing himself to the
Libyan public with songs ranging over the last 5
years since the Feb. 17 2006 Benghazi Embassy
murders. (Benghazi Times Newspaper quotation)" |

| STREET SOULJAHZ |
Bringing
rap from a different level to experience within.
Different upbringings but one common love,
music. To rap, write, create music and beats are
blessings brought from the above. Expressing
values,opinions and thoughts. Sometime whiling
out for the heck of it, but stayin true to the
genre we were raised listening to, and living
life as we see fit |
